  • vii ABSTRACT Tinsi Ayu Veren NIM 15010106004. Improving Students’ L2 Writing through Teacher Feedback. Supervised by: Abdul Halim M. A. TESOL. This qualitative study is aims to improve students’ writing skill through teacher feedback based on students’ writing at tenth grade of SMAN 1 Kendari. It is expected that the students’ writing skill of grade ten can be improved and the students can participate actively in the English teaching and learning process. The participants of this study are the students at grade X MIPA 2 of SMAN 1 Kendari and the total of the participants are 12 students. The instrument in this study is documentation of students’ writing from the first draft until the third draft. To analyze the data, the researcher uses theory Miles and Huberman (1994), that as: reduction the data, display the data and concluding the data. The result of the study reveals that most of students improve their writing skill after being given teacher feedback and it can be seen in the third draft they make little mistake than the first draft. This study implies that, the use of teacher feedback in writing activity should be encouraged in order to improve the students’ writing ability. Key words: Feedback, Qualitative, Teacher, Writing.
