STUDENTS’ ERROR IN WRITING PERSONAL RECOUNT

This case study intends to investigate the errors of students’ text in writing personal recount at SMAN 1 Kendari of IBB Class. It involves students of tenth grade as the participants with eight students as the sample. It involves 5 females and 3 males students. The research is doing through the use of qualitative research design as method. The data that takes at three times drafting process are focus on students’ language features and generic structures error. The result of this study shows that students’ have making some changes of total in errors. In language features, the items are includes of tenses, punctuation, capitalization and word choice. It use to detect Students’ grammatical errors. The students’ changes of grammatical errors are not too significance between all drafts. Writing as the difficult process to learn makes some students have to think hard how to get ideas and produce the words to arrange it into the sentence. The data shows that 45% being the biggest errors of students’ language features. On the contrary, in generic structures, students get 0% as error for last draft. In completing sentence, when the structure being perfect of all paraghraps, it autimatically detract students’ error.
