- Knowledge Management recently becomes an important system to be implemented in the companies in order to improve the Competitive Advantage and to manage intellectual assets of the corporation, and not as a trend. The importance of knowledge management both on how to acquire knowledge and how to do the distribution (transfer) knowledge, are the attention of BPMTV. BPMTV is a technical implementation unit which has the task on developing educational models and video formats. In the utilization of Knowledge Management by BPMTV so far, it is common to see new problems to find a certain appropriate material or information from a collection of multimedia files. The increasing number of knowledge available in the Knowledge Management needs a long time in finding the desired material or information. This is due to the unavailability of specific applications which help the process of finding a specific multimedia-based material contained in multimedia files owned by BPMTV. In this research, the information search process problems associated with the maximum utilization of Knowledge Management will find the right solution, so that in turn, it can accelerate the process of knowledge transfer, knowledge creation and innovation through the development of an educational video search application based on multimedia. The search process itself will use the file .srt which is then stored in a database, so that in this study a prototype will be made in order to be used to support the implementation and utilization of search application.
