Analisis Desain dan Kemudahan Penggunaan Interface Pada Aplikasi Logika Algoritma Menggunakan Parameter HCI

  • The area of expertise of the most interesting in college was computer science, especially with regard to computer programming. Currently, it has provided an application that serves as a learning tool of Logic Algorithms, especially for studying the concept of branching and looping. However, based on the results of previous studies, the application is designed without regard to the design and usability rules. This study was conducted to analyze whether the application can be categorized as a good application or not, based on the criteria of design and usability of HCI. Method of data collection is done by using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The questionnaires research were consisted of 30 questions and 7 parameters, which grouped into 4 design parameters and 3 usability parameters. The four parameters in design is consist of Text and Font Usage, The Colors of Background & Foreground, Button & Icon, and Menu Structure & Navigation. While the three parameters used in usability is Learnability, Flexibility, and Robustness. In each parameters has 3-5 questions to be answered by the user. So that, the total of parameters used in this study was 7 parameters. Based on data processing result that 7 parameters used in the questionnaire, only 6 parameters that can be used to analyze the algorithm logic interface, except robustness parameters. This is because, the results of the questionnaire filling these parameters is lower than other parameters. There is some questions on robustness parameters have neutral value. However, with 6 parameters that have an important role in the analysis interface can show the interest level of students to use the application of logic algorithm.
