  • Food waste (liquid waste of tahu) progressively mount along accretion of requirementof tahu as source of society vegetation protein. Liquid waste of tahu and kitchenwaste can used as organic substrate in anaerob biodigester. Anaerob biodigester withmicrobe of consorcia play a part in producing of biogas, is often referred as technology ofbiogas. The aims of this research was to know producing of biogas from substrate variationof food waste in anaerob biodigester at room and thermophilic temperature. The research done by randomized complete design with two treatment factor that isvariation and temperature substrate by 3 restating. Producing of biogas was done during6 week. Parameter that measured was COD, BOD, TS, VS, and volume of biogas.Result to research, substrate variation of food waste substrate give significant increasedbiogas production. Anaerobic digestion at room temperature on six weeks producedthe best biogas from liquid waste of tahu 40 % and kitchen waste 40 % is 21.200ml. Biogas production of substrate liquid waste of tahu 60 % and kitchen waste 20 % inthermophilic temperature is more than at room temperature, that is 13.000 ml. Substratevariation of food waste decreased COD, BOD, TS, while temperature influence of increasedVS. Anaerob digestion decreased of COD 57-68 %, BOD 29-43 %, TS 64-80 %,and VS 64-79 %.Keyword: food waste, anaerobic digestion, biogas.
