  • Noise is stressor. Stress can lead to release of stress hormone and induced celldivision among CD8 T cells, thereby increasing the number of CD8 T cells and suppressingthe immune function. The aim of the research is to find out the difference of CD8 Tcells distributions among women with aircraft noise stress in the area of Adi SemarmoAirport of Boyolali.The research design was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach,taking location at the Dibal and Gagak Sipat Village, Boyolali District. The researchwas conducted from March 2012- to October 2012. The respondents who fulfilled theexclusive and inclusive criteria were selected by means of simple random sampling.Thenumber of respondens was 57 and divided into 3 groups; Group 1 was exposed 92.78dBA of noise level (19 respondents); Group 2 was exposed 75.31 dBA of noise level (19respondents); and Group 3 was exposed 53.64 dBA of noise level (19 respondents). Thedata were analyzed by Anova followed by Post Hoc Test using LSD test completed withHomogenous Subsets.Based on the results of the analysis, a conclusion was drawn that there was a significantdifference of CD8 T cells distributions among women with aircraft noise stressin the area of Adi Soemarmo Boyolali (p<0.05; ? = 0.05).
