- This study has a purpose that describes (1) the formation of a 7.4-grade WhatsApp group on social construction, (2) social construction of the forms of utilization of a 7.4-grade WhatsApp group by students, teachers, and guardians of students, and (3) the positive impact of social construction. from the existence of a class 7.4 WhatsApp group for students. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Malang which was designed using a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The results of this study are: (1) students are the originators of the formation of the 7th grade WhatsApp group at SMP Negeri 6 Malang. Then the homeroom teacher and homeroom teacher also followed to join the group. The formation of this WhatsApp group is also in line with the policies made by the Class Representative Committee (KPK); (2) the form of using this group is to find and share information about schools and students. In addition, it is used for school assignments or homework and subject matter; (3) facilitating communication, facilitating class coordination, supporting student learning processes, and increasing the intimacy of class members are positive impacts obtained by students. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yang mendeskripsikan (1) pembentukan grup WhatsApp kelas 7.4 terhadap konstruksi sosial, (2) konstruksi sosial bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan grup WhatsApp kelas 7.4 oleh murid, guru, dan wali murid, serta (3) konstruksi sosial dampak positif yang ditimbulkan dari adanya grup WhatsApp kelas 7.4 bagi murid. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 6 Malang yang dirancang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) murid adalah pencetus dari terbentuknya grup WhatsApp kelas 7.4 di SMP Negeri 6 Malang. Lalu guru wali kelas dan wali murid juga menyusul untuk bergabung di grup. Pembentukan grup WhatsApp ini juga sejalan dengan kebijakan yang dibuat oleh Komite Perwakilan Kelas (KPK); (2) bentuk dari pemanfaatan grup ini adalah untuk mencari dan berbagi informasi tentang sekolah dan murid. Selain itu, dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan tugas atau PR sekolah dan materi pelajaran; (3) memudahkan komunikasi, memudahkan dalam melakukan koordinasi kelas, mendukung proses belajar murid, dan menambah keakraban anggota kelas adalah dampak positif yang didapatkan oleh murid.
