- Learning mathematics must require innovation and renewal because there are still many students who have not reached the KKM score. Therefore, the researcher wants to make a breakthrough in learning activities in elementary schools by using image media in mathematics learning block material with the hope of maximizing student learning outcomes so that students can apply the material learned by them into their daily life. This hope, not too much, because of mathematics. Building room materials began to be taught to students since the fourth grade of elementary school, semester two. However, in grade IV, the building material that is taught is just building cubes and blocks. In class V, apart from building blocks and cubes, prism and pyramid shapes are also taught. So in this case the class V teacher continues the material that was taught in the previous class. The research method used in this research is classroom action research. While the results of the study showed the results of the tests (pretest and posttest), the learning outcomes of students in mathematics had an increase in each cycle. This can be seen from the average posttest score obtained between cycle I and cycle II has increased, namely, the average post-test score in cycle I is 72.86 and the average value of cycle II is 89.29, so it can be concluded that there is increasing learning outcomes in mathematics subjects using image media
- Pembelajaran matematika harus membutuhkan inovasi dan pembaharuan karena masih banyak siswa yang belum mencapai nilai KKM. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin melakukan suatu terobosan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dengan menggunkana media gambar pada pembelajaran matematika materi balok dengan harapan dapat memaksimalkan hasil belajar siswa sehingga siswa dapat menerapkan materi yang dipelajari olehnya ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Harapan tersebut, tidak terlalu berlebihan, karena matematika. Materi pelajaran bangun ruang mulai di ajarkan kepada siswa sejak kelas IV SD semester dua. Tetapi di kelas IV materi bangun ruang yang diajarkan baru bangun kubus dan balok saja. Untuk kelas V ini selain bangun balok dan kubus, juga diajarkan bangun prisma dan limas. Jadi dalam hal ini Guru kelas V melanjutkan materi yang pernah diajarakan di kelas sebelumnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas. Sementara hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil tes (pretes dan postes), hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika terdapat peningkatan pada setiap siklus. Hal ini dapat di lihat dari perolehan rata-rata hasil nilai postes antara siklus I dan siklus II mengalami kenaikan yaitu, rata-rata nilai postes siklus I adalah 72,86 dan rata-rata nilai siklus II adalah 89,29 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan media gambar.
