- Diarrhea is a disease in which the patient experiences persistent bowel excitement and feces that still have excessive water content. From the data presurvey, at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam City last three months there are 60 people with diarrhea. The purpose of this study to determine the factors that cause diarrhea in children in the Lotus Room Rumah Budi Kemuliaan Batam. The method used is descriptive method. The population in this research as many as 60 people with a sample size of 6 people. Sampling method using Accidental Sampling technique. Method of data retrieval on this researcher use observation sheet containing 3 question given to respondent where data processing done manually. The result of this research are 6 respondents as much as 3 people (50%) by infection factor, 2 people (33%) by malabsorption factor, 1 person (16,7%) by food factor. Factors of diarrhea in children in Lotus Room Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam City In 2017 the most is the infection factor. It is expected that health workers should improve information related to the factors that cause diarrhea in children.
