The method used in this research is the historical method according to Marc Bloch which consists of four research steps, namely: first, conducting historical observations in order to collect historical sources; second, conducting historical criticism or examining the data found; third, generalizing the data according to the problem of this research; and fourth, perform a cause-and-effect search analysis of the written problem. Results of the study Almost all traditional lepos in the Hewokloang traditional village have ronan or branches. The function of this ronan or branch is to act as a “hand-in-hand” of the traditional lepo of its main ronan or in other words as a “helper” for the main task of its ronan. Basically, the main task of the traditional lepo is to maintain human relations with 3 A; nature, spirit and God. The placement of nature in the first position is based on the way of thinking of the Hewokloang traditional village community, which is to believe in what they clearly see, then followed by things they have seen and have not seen.
