- This research is researching of distribution inequality between groups of income in a region Karang Pucung Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of inequality of income distribution between groups of people in the Karangpucung Village, South Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. The total sample in this study was obtained using Slovin techniques and was taken using a simple random sampling method of 100 people, where the respondents were residents of Karang Pucung Village. The technique of collecting data using a questionnaire. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. Based on the results of research and data analysis using the Gini coefficient equipped with the Lorenz curve, the gini index results show the number 0.27. This figure shows that income inequality among groups of people tends to be low. This is supported by the Lorenz curve which is not too far from the perfect equalization line. As implication of the conclusion above, it is known that the results of research on income inequality between groups of people tend to be low, therefore it is necessary to have an effort to maintain it so that the level of inequality remains low. However, efforts to increase people's income which are still low are also very necessary so that the level of equal income distribution is not at a low level. So, if the distribution of public income is evenly distributed, it is expected that economic development can be stable and increase.
