  • Banks may be regarded as the backbone of the economy of a country that has a function as apn intermediary institution for the surplus and deficit. Therefore banking performance evaluation is considered important to monitor how the bank's development from year to year. The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of banks with proven effect of financial ratios Lending, NonPerforming Loan (NPL), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO), and Net Interest Margin (NIM) to the Return on Assets (ROA. Data contained in this research is secondary data of private national banks and non-foreign exchange to go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples used were 29 national private banks that go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2014. The analytical method used in this research is using multiple regression analysis previously performed classical assumption first. The results of this study indicate that variable Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) and Lending showed a significant negative effect on Return On Asstes (ROA). While Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) showed positif and not significant on Return On Asstes (ROA). Net Interest Margin (NIM) positive and significant impac on Return On Asstes (ROA).
