  • Background: Work motivation provides a large contribution to the success of achieving one's organizational goals for the purpose of achieving organizational success, so that high motivation will create the performance of nurses in the Hospital. A nurse who is well motivated and shows good motivation in implementing nursing care documentation. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between work motivation and documentation of nursing care. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive design. Data collection is done by questionnaire. The number of samples used was 96 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Processing data obtained is processed statistically using the Spearman correlation test. Result: Based on the results of the analysis of the study it was found that of the 96 respondents, most of which had gender characteristics with a p value of 0,000 (p value <0.05) meant that there was the highest gender of women 71.9%, the most education in D3 respondents was 60.4%, the age of the most respondents was 22-30 years 81.3%, nurses work motivation category the most 61.5%, in the category of nursing care documentation as much as 56.3%. Conclusion: There is a correlation between nurses work motivation and nursing documentation at Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital Semarang.
