PT. Varia Usaha Bahari is a Stevedoring Company which one of its activities is
unloading activities. In unloading activities most operators do not mematui working
hours bongar in unloading activities. This research is to know operator performance
in unloading activity at PT. Varia Usaha Bahari at the port of Semen Indonesia
Tuban.
The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method that is
to describe and describe the object under study and data collection methods used are
field observation, direct interviews to the head of branch and head of operations
Trucking PT. Varia Usaha Bahari and using literature study.
The most frequent problem occurs in unloading activities of PT. Varia Usaha
Bahari is operator's performance that is not in accordance with unloading hours and
lack of compliance and knowledge about the importance of unloading hours every
unloading activity. Efforts made by PT. Varia Usaha Bahari is by doing counseling to
workers about the performance of operators in every unloading activity and by
raising awareness of working hours unloading activities. If the operator works
according to the hours set by the company then the unloading activities will become
more smoothly and on time
