By increasing the pressure and reducing the temperature, the gas will turn into liquid. The components are discussed by propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10). There was a problem when the loading and unloading process was delayed, because there was a ship that did not understand the loading and unloading procedures and the quality of the load that a rose due a small particles and running the sloshing system was too long to repair reduced. When going through the loading process we mus to did a good prepare so that the loading process runs smoothly and does not require any obstacles. In this case the author uses fishbone diagrams and fault tree analysis methods where fishbone diagrams are used to describe the obstacles that occure and fault tree analysis is used for problem solving. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that optimizing the process of handling LPG loads correctly is expected to get optimal results and can reduce the consequences experienced by the ship, namely the disruption of ship operations. Dengan menambah tekanan dan menurunkan suhunya, gas akan berubah menjadi cair. Komponennya di dominasi oleh propane (C3H8) dan butane (C4H10). Adanya permasalahan pada saat proses bongkar muat mengalami keterlambatan karena adanya awak kapal yang belum memahami prosedur proses bongkr dan berkurangnya kualitas muatan disebabkan adanya partikel-partikel kecil dan menjalankan sloshing system terlalu lama hingga muatan berkurang. Saat akan melaksanakan proses bongkar harus memiliki persiapan yang matang dan cermat agar pelaksanaan proses bongkar berjalan dengan lancar dan tidak mengalami hambatan apapun. &#xD; &#xD; Dalam hal ini penulis menggunakan diagram fishbone dan metode fault tree analysis dimana diagram fishbone digunakan untuk menjabarkan kendalakendala yang terjadi dan fault tree analysis digunakan untuk pemecahan masalah. &#xD; &#xD; Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat dismpulkan bahwa dengan mengoptimalkan proses penanganan muatan LPG yang benar diharapkan akan mendapatkan hasil yang optimal dan dapat mengurangi konsekuensi yang dialami oleh pihak kapal yaitu terganggunya operasional kapal.
