Essy</creator><subject>Novel</subject><description>This research aims to discuss the psychopath symptoms of a major character, Patrick Bateman, a business man character who can manipulate his charm and kindness to other people, he also always lies and kills people to get his satisfactions. The writer uses American Psycho novel, psychological approach, and psychopathic personality theory. The writer uses qualitative research and library research which tries to explain about psychopathic personality disorder’s symptoms in Bateman’s character.
The results of this study is, the major character from American Psycho novel is a psychopath. It can be seen from the narration and the dialogue in the novel.
