- Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah dengan menggunakan model Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi Bilangan Bulat di Kelas VII-5 SMP Perguruan Sumatera Tanjung Morawa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-5 yang berjumlah 35 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui penerapan model Two Stay Two Stray pada materi bilangan bulat. Hasil analisis data pada siklus I setelah dilakukan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray menunjukkan banyaknya siswa yang mencapai kriteria kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah 15 dari 35 siswa atau 42,79% dengan rata-rata kelas 53,57. Hasil analisis data akhir siklus II dengan pembelajaran yang sama diperoleh banyak siswa yang mencapai kriteria kemampuan pemecahan masalah yaitu 30 dari 35 siswa atau 85,71% dengan rata-rata kelas 83,14. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalalui model Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada materi bilangan bulat.Kata Kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, model TSTS, bilangan bulat ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine whether the using of Two Stay Two Stray model can improve the mathematic problem solving ability on integer of class VII-5 SMP Perguruan Sumatera Tanjung Morawa. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Subjects in this study were students of class VII-5 totaling 35 peoples. The object of this research is to improve the mathematic problem solving ability with the model Two Stay Two Stray on integer of class VII-5. Based on Analysis of data on the first cycle after the using of Two Stay Two Stray model show that sum of students has met the criteria of the mathematic problem solving there are 15 from 35 peoples or 42,79% of students with an average value was 53,57. Analysis of data on the second cycle after the using same the model show that sum of students has met the criteria of the mathematic of problem solving there are 30 from 35 people or 85,71% of students with an average value was 83,14. so that it can be concluded that by using of TSTS model can improve the mathematic problem solving ability on integers.Keywords: the mathematic problem solving ability, TSTS model, integer
