Daftar Isi:
- Along increasing population and industrial growth, clean water will continue rising. If this increasing is not offset by new sources of suppling, it will cause water crisis. Peat water in our country as one of the water resources are still abundant, especially in Kalimantan and Sumatra. Therefore, further research needs to be done to change the peat water into clean water. Activated peat soil is one of alternative that can be used for adsorbent may reduce the levels of Fe and colours. In this research, activated peat soil with H3PO4 10% for 24 hours. Peat soil that has been activated is applied to the peat water using a variation of the mass to determine optimum mass and variation optimum adsorbent contact time to determine the optimum contact time. From the research, the optimum adsorbent mass is 4 grams and optimum contact time is 30 min in 50 mL of water peat. the results of the colour level is 14.892 Pt-Co and Fe of 0.2409 mg / L. That colour level and Fe has met the standard of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 907 / MENKES/SK/VII/2012. Key Words : Peat Water, Peat Soil, Adsorption , Level Of Fe, Colour Intensity
