Most of the energy used&#xD; by people nowadays come from fossil energy such as petroleum.&#xD; Some researches have been done in order to discover alternative&#xD; energy resources. One of them is biogas. Biogas is a term that is used&#xD; to refer to a type of gass that can be renewed and produced from&#xD; anaerobic digestion or fermentation of organic matter with the help&#xD; from metanogenesis bacteria. One factor that can influence the&#xD; production of biogas in fermentation process was concentration level&#xD; of organic feed or leachate recycling. The function of leachate&#xD; recycling is to accelerate degradation process or the breakdown of&#xD; organic matter by anaerobic bacteria which caused the stages to form&#xD; methane (CH4) become faster. Therefore, the percentage of methane&#xD; (CH4) increased. The production of biogas was done by varying the&#xD; rate of leachate recycling. The variation of rate were 15L/minute and&#xD; 20L/minute. The result of the study showed that concentration value&#xD; of methane (CH4) with leachate recycling on 12th day where the rate&#xD; was 15L/minute was 63,48 % and low heating value was 7669&#xD; kkal/kg.
