  • INCINERATOR BATCH TYPE DESIGN (Performance Test of Secondary Chamber Inlet Air Flow Rate Effect on After Combustion Gas Compositions in Infectious Waste Combustion Process) (Yossy Rimadhina, 2014, 50 Pages, 8 Tables, 32 Pictures, 4 Appendixes) Incineration is a waste treatment process by combusting at temperature more than 800°C to reduce the wastes that cannot be recycled, removing bacteria, viruses, and chemical toxic. In order to get the complete combustion in the infectious waste combustion process needed optimal air-fuel mixture and excess air. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of secondary chamber inlet air flowrate on after combustion gas compositions in incinerator. The experiment were performed with varieties of secondary chamber inlet air flowrate, they are 3.5 l/h, 4 l/h, 4.5 l/h, 5 l/h, and 5.5 l/h. Those parameters were analyzed whether it met the air standards of emissions for Incinerator. The parameters of gas compositions using in this research were CO2, CO, SO2, N2, O2, H2O, and CH4. The results showed that inlet air flowrate affected after combustion gas product. It obtained that the largest CO2 composition at 5.5 l/h is 17.46% which indicates that there has been a complete combustion in Incinerator. The calculation results that the increase moles N2 will affect the increase of composition of N2 in flue gas. The incinerator has met the air standard of emissions for incinerator.
