  • THE DESIGN OF BRIQUETTE STOVE (The Effect of Air Fuel Ratio Against Thermal Efficiency of Stoves) (Marlia Budiarti, 2014, 40 Pages, 46 Tables, 11 Pictures, 4 Appendixes) The design of the stove is basically made to achieve high combustion efficiency. Briquette stove performance test also determined by several factors such as time, temperature and the quality of combustion air. Briquette stove type depends on its sector, the type of stove that is already in the market currently has an efficiency of between 31-33%. Existing briquette stove is not yet interested in the community, it is because there is still a shortage of briquette stove, especially on the operating system and generate waste in the form of smoke. The purpose of the study design is how to influence the briquette stove fuel air ratio to the heat generated in the combustion process. It will be designed briquette stoves for household equipped with a blower that serves as a supply of air and absorb the smoke from the burning process. Where the performance test conducted on the briquette stove is by varying the ratio of the air that is 4:1, 6:1, 7:1, 8:1 and 8,5:1. So the goal should be known from research and calculations derived thermal efficiency of each ratio amounted to 30.05%, 22.46%, 37.63%, 14.87% and 7.89%. Then from the stove performance test results conducted by varying the ratio of air blowers fitted with the best thermal efficiency is the ratio of air generated by the 7:1 thermal efficiency gained by 37.63%, then during combustion has the perfect combustion process .
