- Indonesia is an agricultural country with rich natural resources such as: oil, gas, coal, and other natural resources. These resources can produce products - products or chemicals are widely used as fuel. Alternative fuels from palm oil biodiesel is a fuel that is made through the process of transesterification between the CPO and Methanol. Where in the transesterification process using NaOH alkaline catalyst. During the transesterification process regulated temperature 600C and stirring using a magneticstirrer. In this study the variable used is the ratio of time during the process of transesterification. So the problem is how the quality of the biodiesel produced in the ratio of time (1 hour), (1.5 hours), (2 hours), (2.5 hours). After a study period of 2.5 hours is the optimum time produce good quality biodiesel, with a density of 0.8624 g/ml, viscosity of 5.4777 Cst, flash point of 1850C and calorific value of 9652.0051cal/g. .
