- The purpose of this Final Report is to design a library information system based on Visual Basic.Net 2008 in Business Administration Library of State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya. Business Administration Library still apply manual system so that the process of borrowing and repayment transactions and recording of reports in the activities of the library to be inhibited. On the other hand, the library is part of the educational institution that was established to meet the information needs of its readers. Data were collected by interviews and questionnaires. Based on the problems encountered, the authors suggest to replace the manual library system into computerized based system. Therefore, writer designs an application based on Visual Basic.Net 2008 and Microsoft Access that can help the process of borrowing and repayment terms as well as the management of a collection of books the library.
