- The purpose of this final report is to know whether or not Danau Air Batuhad potential to be a tourism destination. The research was in a qualitative method and the data were collected by using observation and interview. The participant of the interview was Mrs. Agustinawati as the chief of Kelurahan Air Batu. The interview explored about the components of tourism: atrraction, accessibilty, amenities, public facilities, and organiser or institution.The results show that Danau Air Batu had potential to be one of the tourism destinations in Banyuasin, South Sumatera Province because it had fullfilled the requirements of the potential of standards tourism destinations. It is suggested that to make Danau Air Batube more potencial as a tourism destination, some additions of public transportation, amenities, public facilities and institution are required.
