  • The title of this final report is The Role of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in a harmonius relationship with external public (community). The purpose of this final report is to know how the role of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in a harmonius relationship with external public (community) and strategy of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in improving the delivery of information to the external public (community). The sample of this study was 133 respondents whis gotten by using slovin formula. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and literature study. Then, the data were analyzed by using Interpretation Skor percentages. The result shows that there are two role of public relations of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre III Sumatera Selatan have stronger role of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in a harmonius relationship with external public (community), are as Relationship is in 66,5% value and as Good Image Maker is in 57,2% value. While the other role have quite strongly role of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in a harmonius relationship with external public (community), are as Communicator is in 53,8% value and as Backup Management is in 61,9% value. And the strategy of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) DIVRE III Sumatera Selatan in improving the delivery of information to the external public (community) are repeating information with variations of information delivery to get attention through print media or electronic media. Then maximazing the intensity of news delivery, so everyone can get routine news in general and easily.
