- One role of literary works, including novels, is the discursive role, i.e., how to generate knowledge, along with the accompanying social practices, making literature as a laboratory where the knowledge of the man described, thus novel is a medium that can be examined relating to the develpment of science. The diversity of existing literature in Indonesia, especially in the 2000s, including the Islamic novel, making the writers creative in describing the reality of human life into literature. Novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” tells of a woman’s who were outstanding in education achievements. Theoretically and empirically, education is important because with better education will create betteroff human resources, and is the main determinant variable of human life into literature. Novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” tells of a woman’s who were outstanding in education achievements. Theoretically and empirically, education is important because with better education will create betteroff human resources, and is the main determinant variable of succes or progress man, and Islam is a religion that requires its followers to study. The aim of this research is to describe the character intrinsic elements of the novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” and analyze the suitability of woman main figure background levels of education, employment and welfare, using the human resources development theory approaches.
