  • Power losses are a crucial issue for PLN. Rotating blackouts are then performed to prevent the system from total blackout. This causes the power which supplied to the consumer becomes smaller. The loss of power will always exist, because the equipment that used does not have 100% efficiency. Therefore, the authors evaluate the power losses that occurs by providing a comparison of calculations manually and calculations using ETAP 12.6 simulations. In the evaluation of power losses on the medium-voltageof the 20KV Cendana Feeders at Bungaran Substation, the calculations manually show that the daytime power loss is 7.2% and at night is 8.6%. While the ETAP 12.6 simulation shows that the daytime power loss is 7,15% and at night is 8,6%. Referring to SPLN 1: 1978 that the permitted power losses is only 2%, after the evaluation it is known that the power losses in Cendana Feeder has passed the permitted standard and should have network optimization.
