  • The continuity of the supply of electrical energy in a buffer is strongly influenced by the reliability of the distribution system. Reliability describes a measure of the level of electricity supply service from system to customer. System reliability is strongly influenced by system configuration, installed security devices and protection systems. The reliability index is an indicator expressed in the probability scale. The widely used system reliability indexes include System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI). Based on data evaluation it has been done that the reliability index value of SAIFI and SAIDI is not much different between using ETAP simulation and calculation method. However, of the four repeaters that have been evaluated there is one repeater that is below the PLN Standard 68-2 in 1986, so that the existing distribution system on the transformer 30 MVA # 2 in Bukit Siguntang substation has not been reliable.
