Therefore it is one of the potential sources of contamination when it directly discharged into river.Eventhough, POME is a potential raw resource in producing biogas. Biogas is a mixture of several gas produced from the fermentation of organic matter under anaerobic conditions, the dominant gas is methane gas and carbon dioxide. The aims of this research was to know the fermentation time effect toward biogas production with substrate combination (POME and cow manure) in pyramid digeter. The study was done in three combinations of feedstock which were POME concentrations of 90, 80, and 70% and the cow manure concentrations of 10, 20, and 30%. A mixture of POME and cow manure at 6 L/minutes for 30 days were fed into digester. The result showed the fermentation time gave significant effect toward biogas production in the pyramid digester. All combinations showed the upward trend in the volume of biogas during fermentation. The highest quantity of methane in biogas was reached when POME and activated sludge in combination 70 POME:30 cow manure.
