  • This research aim is to know the influence from various concentration on the activation of the zeolites and various usage of zeolites catalyst activated by H2SO4 to biodiesel from wasted cooking oil. The making of biodiesel from waste cooking oil as raw material this before all was done by using esterification process with purpose to reduce %FFA > 5% becomes < 5% with some help of the same solvent that is methanol and catalyst zeolites that are activated by H2SO4, then is continued to phase hereinafter is processing Transesterification. The transesterification process of wasted cooking oil in methanol to yield biodiesel applies alkaline catalyst (KOH). Sighting of concentration H2SO4 and the number of catalyst used to product biodiesel yield need to be done to get product biodiesel fulfilling standard. Process esterification of wasted cooking oil catalyst zeolites activated by H2SO4 and the number of catalyst zeolites used with various concentration H2SO4 that is 0,5 M, 1 M, 1,5 M, 2 M, 2,5 M and various number of catalyst used equal to 0,5 gr, 1 gr, 1,5 gr. This research done by the way of mixing wasted cooking oil, methanol and zeolites that has been activated in beaker glass 250 ml with operating condition 60 0C during 3 hour and result of his it’s dissociated in separatory funnel then is hushed during 24 hours. From the research was received by the optimum condition in the use activation compound H2SO4 with the concentration 1 M and the mass of zeolites 0,5 gr. Results of the analysis of the physical characteristics and chemistry biodiesel that was received %rconversion 91%, density 0.8776 gr/ml, acid number 0.787 of mgKOH/gr, flashpoint 184,9 0C, viscosity 3.1396 cSt, and %FFA 0,3915. The biodiesel product that have got has been fulfill the Indonesian standard biodiesel quality.
