  • Continuity and reliability of electric power distribution can be achieved when the power system that has a stable voltage. Stable voltage depends on the reliability of the power system that starts from the plant to the load. Power transformer in the substation serves to transform the electric power to the load. Because the primary side voltage and load are always changing making the secondary side voltage is not stable and therefore is used On Load Tap Changer. On Load Tap Changer serves to stabilize the secondary side voltage to match the nominal specified by changing the transformer turns ratio without deciding distribution of electrical energy.Tap positions can be determined by calculating the ratio of the voltage transformer. Tap position in theKeramasan Substation currently on the 8th position with a ratio value of 7.5 (normal state). According to the IEC regulations voltage secondary side of the transformer must have a value of + 2.5%. The situation is, the secondary side voltage at Transformer I in Keramasan Substation should be at 20,5 kV but the reality on the clock 09:00 to 11:00 has a voltage value of the secondary side of -0,5% or 19,9 kV.Means the secondary side voltage at Transformer I in Keramasan Substation did not reach the standard IEC.
