Main substation of Bukit Asam has 2 different voltages, that is 150 KV and 20 KV. For the sake
of optimal energy distribution, then both sides are connected by using a power transformator with
capacity of 60 MVA. Then from both channel is sent to the other feeder and main substation by
transmission channel. On transformator mounted an Over Current Relay (OCR) as pacifier
against the fault current, OCR is an equipment that serves as the monitoring of the occurrence of
overcurrent interruption, then give signals to the circuit breaker (CB) to open impaired channels.
OCR works based on the value of the current setting and the specified time. After calculating the
current setting from the OCR obtained at 20 KV side is 5.31 A by tms 0.0065 s and the specified
operating time is 0.1 s.
