- Yohanes Martua Tampubolon 0611 3031 1458 Majoring Electrical Engineering Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya In process to distribute electrical energy to the consumers, there always occur drop voltage and power losses. Shrinkage power and drop voltage is influenced by the length of the cable from the substation to the load center. This will cause the electricity supplied to consumers is smaller. Losses of power and the drop voltage can not be fully eliminated; because of the influence of equipment equipment used in electrical distribution systems may not have an efficiency of 100%. In the calculation of the power losses in the medium voltage network 20 KV feeders at the substation Bungaran feeder Meranti was found that the calculation results show that the power losses at load during the day is for 1131W and power losses on the evening load is 727W.
