- Three phase induction motor is an electric machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Utilization of this motion energy which is then converted by some industrial enterprises to simplify production processes in the industry. Every electric motor has a different level of efficiency. Thus the authors wanted to know how much efficiency three-phase induction motor as a generator coolant pump drive in PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Based on the results of the calculation of the importance of the input power 2300 Volt motor voltage, currents of 40 A and a power factor of 0.85 is 135 KW. While its mechanical power is 126 KW so the total loss of coolant pump motor to the load of 13 KW generator was obtained. Based on calculations by the data shown on the nameplate power obtained input motor voltage 2300 Volt, Current 68 A and a power factor of 0.85 is 230 KW. While the nameplate output power of 224 KW so that the total income earned by 6 KW motors. The author concludes that the efficiency of three-phase induction motor at full load is 97.39% and the coolant circulation pump generator PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang is 90.37%. Seen that a decline in the efficiency of the full load of the load on the generator cooling pump PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.
