- The quality of education is one of supporting factors to improving a country’s development progress in various sectors.The education’s quality in Indonesia has developed include in South Sumatera.So that SMK N 2 Palembang as one of vocational high school in Palembang that getting fund from government to increase the facilities of infrastructure. The title of this final report is The Designing of theory building ofMajored State High School 2 Palembang.This type of building planned that has 770 m2of construction scale in Demang Lebar Daun Street, Palembang. The purpose this study is to make a design of a building which has a function for academic activity.. The author plans and measures this construction based on primary and secondary data. The primary data gathered from planning observation in a field and the secondary data uses formula which analyzed from a few literatures. The base theory measurement uses SNI-03-1729-2002 about Steel Structure, SNI 03-2847-2002 about Concrete Structure, and Reinforced Concrete Structure by Istimawan and Reinforced Concrete Measurement List by Gideon. The final result of this study is using roof steel conventional profile with double L. 50.50.5, concrete structure for beam, floor plate, column, and sloof 300 x 500 mm for horizontal beam dimension and 350 x 700 mm for vertical beam dimension, 400 x 400 mm for column, 300 x 500 mm for sloof and 120 mm for floor plate thick and also we use pile cap foundation with 400 x 400 mm of size, with the deepness about 16,4 m. Base on the measurement, this study concluded that this building construction is stable and safe.
