- Gasification is one of biomass process utilization as energy by energy conversion from solid fuel with carbon contains to produce combustible gas. Research had done by supplied hoppea spp. as feed in continue process by using downdraft gasifier at Laboratory Technology of Energy Conversion State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya. The research was conducted on air fuel ratio (AFR) variation of 0.79, 0.86, 1.08, 1.22 and 1.30. From the test result obtained the best composition of combustible gas at 0.79 AFR is 39.65% of total volume syngas indicated CH4 6.51%, CO 22.46% and H2 10.68% also the resulting flame is blue at temperatures of 500°C with engine stable condition.
