Electronics Nuclear engineering</subject><description>Three phase induction motor is the driving engine of the most widely used in industry, one is the use of an induction motor as the driving pump. Pump operation is determined by the capacity of its power. This final report investigates the power capacity of the electric motor is used as the pump impeller. Motor power capacity is determined based on the data obtained in PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang. The calculation is performed with parameter changes starting frequency of 42 Hz, 45 Hz, 47 Hz and 50 Hz. Pump mechanical power generated amounted to 51,030 KW for frequency 42 Hz, 61,228 KW for 45 Hz, 86,028 KW for 47 Hz and 104,333 KW for 50 Hz frequency. Pump input power which is the power output of the motor or mechanical power generated at 64,594 KW for frequency 42 Hz, 77,503 KW for frequency 45 Hz, 108,896 KW for frequency 47 Hz and 132,067 KW for frequency of 50 Hz.
