  • The purpose of this report is investigate the office layout, especially the arrangement of office equipment and the employee’s working table in the Human Resources part, the Public, and Public Relations PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. Unit Dermaga Kertapati Palembang. The data received by using the field work method such as: interview, observation, questionnaire. Then they were analyzed by using the theoretical review developed by The Ling Gie (2000), Moekijat (2002), Moenir (2006). Based on the data the writer received that in the Human Resources, the Public, and Public Relations PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. Unit Kertapati Palembang in the arrangement of office space not yet based on in the compilation of the layout of the good office. The problem was the appointment of office equipment that is take the form of printer and the telephone that was not yet placed near the employee who often used this office equipment and was not yet compiled by him the employee’s working table to the exact place so as result in the hindering of the activity of the work of the employee in this part, as well as the lack of the name label to the management table and employee’s working table to this part, so as cause difficulties for the guest from outside the company to meet the Manager or one of the employee’s in the part.
