- The Calculation and The Preparation of Cost of Production Report of Sumsel Post Newspaper at PT Media Sumsel Perkasa Press Ria Kurniati, 2015 (xiv + 51 pages) State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya, Accounting Department E-mail: rkurniati@ymail.com PT Media Sumsel Perkasa Press is a manufactured company which works in printing field. One of the products they produce is Sumsel Post newspaper. This company produces newspaper by using process method through three departments, which are pre printing department, printing department and finishing department. The Author uses primary data through interview and observation method in the company. The author’s analyze in this final report is the calculation and the preparation of cost of production of Sumsel Post newspaper in April 2015. Based on data and information obtained, the author found some problems, those are the company has not prepared cost of production report and the company has not calculated depreciation expense of fixed assets. To resolve existing problems, author tries to give some suggestions that may be useful for company, those are the company should calculate and prepare cost of production report and calculate depreciation expense of fixed assets based on the result of calculation and preparation of cost of production report that has been made by the author. So the company knows the exact cost that the company paid to produce Sumsel Post newspaper.
