  • The purpose of this research was to determine the level of work motivation in operator division at PT KalindoMatesuGoautama Gas Palembang based on Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory. The objects of this research were the whole operator. The total of those operators were 28 people.The methods used in this research were library research and questionnaires. The data analyzed through percentage method and score interpretation, and the result processed using Microsoft Excel 2010. Based on the result, the strongest factors that motivate the employees work performance was the physiological needs. It was 80,89% and very strong interpreted. Safety needs got 80% and strong interpreted. Social needs got 79,82% and strong interpreted. It can be concluded that three of these needs were the most important needs for the operator employees, and the implementation of these needs can give a contribution to increase the employees work motivation. Meanwhile, the needs of esteem and self actualization classified in enough interpretation score, with percentage respectively 58,39% and 60%. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the esteem and self actualization needs were less important for the operator employees.
