- The purpose of this research is to design an electronic archives system in General and Employment Department at Kantor Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang.The instrument of this research that used were observation, interviews, documentation and the data were analyzed by the qualitative and quantitative method. The result of this research shows that the rate calculation accuracy archives General and Employment Department at Kantor Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang is above 3%, which means that the archive system needs to be reviewed for further improvement. That calculation was obtained because the letters couldn’t be found, in process of rediscovery.While the rate calculation usage archives is above 5%, which means the letters are still active and much needed back. This electronic filling system design can be operated by utilizing the facilities that already available in Kantor Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang such as computers that have Microsoft Office 2007 program, and printer can also be used to scan the letters. Beside of that, and Microsoft Access 2007 program that will be used is made simply to ensure in the process easy to understand and not difficult to implement
