- Wall paints generally used contain many chemical substances which harmly for the environment Latex in paint wall making acts as PAVC replacer which used as binder in paint main material. This replacement is to decrease the making price of paint. This research aims to make paint from natural materials are of latex, using the mangosteen seed extract as a colorant and solvent gasoline in order to obtain a quality paint that meet the standards of SNI 3564: 2009. Problems in this study, how to produce a wall of latex paint with gasoline solvent so as to form a wall paint with the exact composition and produce paints in accordance with SNI 3564: 2009. Results of the study of natural wall paint manufacture of latex showed that when the gum is used too little then the low wall paint adhesion, otherwise if latex too much will be too thick and cause clots when painting. Optimum results are obtained paint was 80 mL and 400 mL latex gasoline with characteristics that meet the standards of ISO 3564: 2009 is the density of 1.263 g / ml, pH 8, total solids 56.67%, viscosity 1381,64cp, touch dry time 25 minutes, and hard dry time 44 minutes.
