- Renewable energy is energy derived from natural processes that replenished continuously. One of the biomass conversion technology that can utilize rice husks are gasified into syngas. In this case utilizes gasification incomplete combustion process to produce syngas, but to get a more clean gas then used gas cleaning systems are cyclones, scrubber water, and filter straw. Rice straw used varied weighed to obtain optimum conditions in the absorption of tar from the gasification process. Based on the results of gasification, tar absorption process occurred in the straw weight of 400 grams.This is because the closer a filter, the better absorption. Straw able to absorb tar and some heavy gas from the gasification process, so as to affect the final result of the syngas. Keyword: Gasification, Biomass, straw filter
