pigment can issue odor and cause shortness of breath and also to lose the smelt of the paint takes a long
time. This research was conducted to make paint from natural materials, which from latex, tapioca flour,
and CaCO3 Using extract of turmeric as color pigment, and water as solvent to obtained, the quality of
paint by standards of ISO 3564 : 2009. This Research carried out in terms of determining the composition
of the mixture of latex , tapioca flour , CaCO3 with an extract of turmeric as a color pigment with a
solvent of water so that making product of paint is naturally. The problems in this research , how to make
paint from latex, tapioca flour and water so as to form a wall paint with the exact composition and
produce paints in accordance with ISO standard 3564 : 2009. The research results of latex wall paint
from latex showed that if used a little latex the adhesion became low , otherwise if latex too much will
have low consentrate. The optimum results are obtained with the paint composition of 100 g Tapioca
Starch Gum Rubber 100 ml and 250 ml water with characteristics that meet the standards of ISO 3564 :
2009 that Density 1.205 g / ml , pH 8 , Total Solids 70.12 % , Viscosity 1158.96 cP , Touch Dry time 20
Minutes , as well as Hard Dry time 33 Minutes
