- Depletion of petroleum resources or other to encourage efforts to find alternative energy, it is bioethanol. During the manufacture of bioethanol from sugar and strach are still compatent to feed and food, therefore is looked for an alternative raw material for bioethanol production from biomass, it is crown pineapple. The puprpose of manufacture of bioethanol from crown fruit varieties pineapple queen by using microbe Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast is to determine the weight of yeast and fermentation time are optimum on levels obtained bioethanol. In this study, using NaOH 1.5% w to degrade lignin content in the crown of pineapple fruit variets queen and H2SO4 2%v to convert cellulose to glucose. Variation of Yeast weight are 7.5%;10%;12.5%w and fermentation time 2;3;4;5 days in the fermentation process. While the purification process using a simple distillation with operating conditions 780C-800C for 2.5 to 4 jam. Bioetanol obtained, refractive index testing and gas chromatography (GC). The test results obtained yeast optimum weight is 10 grams at the time of fermentation 3 days with a bioethanol content of 7.017%.
