- In Electric Car”. The purpose of final assignment is to design and study about the control system of electric car with PID method meanwhile the benefit is to know the speed of electric car with good performance. Design is the most important part from all of process. It purposed to get a good final project, designing these tools required components such as electric motor as a booster, solar cell as a energy charger, microcontroller ATMega 32 as a main controller for the whole range of existing tools and accu as a battery. Design of electric car, it’s important to know about speed and performance of electric car. So to control the speed of electric car, the writer use PID method to control the DC motor. PID method is very useful to control and determine the stability of DC motor with the value of Kp as a setpoint and with value of Ki and Kd as a manipulated variable. The application of PID method in speed control has a good result, with percentage of trial in electric car is 20 %, 40 %, 60 % 80 % and 100 %. Keywords : Electric Car, DC Motor, PID.
