- Because of the importance of the distribution system in the electrical power supply to the load, then a good distribution system and an efficient indispensable. The electric power distribution system, from generator to load centers will definitely disruption, many factor that causes the disruption. One of the disruption of the distribution substation caused overload on the transformer. The disruption will cause damage to the transformer and reduces the life span of the transformer. So that the disruption can be find out quickly and give continuously load data, because of that I create a design of moniroting over load devis in distribution substation based on SMS Gateway as warning for over load and give continuosly load value in distribution substation This monitoring device works with overload limit value that has been set at 90% of nominal distribution transformers in use. From the results of the design over load monitoring device can work well in giving warning via SMS gateway or through buzzer. Keywords: Over load, Distribution Substation, Over Load Monitoring, SMS
