Electronics Nuclear engineering</subject><description>In electrical distribution has various kinds of interference that would result an interruption of electricity distribution to consumers. In distribution network, short circuit current interruption is one of a problem that often occurs, the problem could damage equipments in the electrical power system. To avoid the interference, it requires a network protection by installing a protection relay, the kind of relay is overcurrent relay. Overcurrent relay works by sensing or measuring the interference in the electric power system and immediately as automatically gives an signal orders to the circuit breaker (CB) to break a part of the interference system so that the other systems can operate normally. Therefore, the author is discuss how to calculate the setting of current and timing adjustment in over current relay and also make a simulation of over current relay coordination on ETAP program.
