- Continuity of electricity distribution is very important for the whole community of the society. However, some faults that occurred on power transformer can disrupt it, so it must do the setting of differential relay in such away to minimize the damage caused by disruption. The final report discusses about setting of tupe MBCH12 differential relay as a protector for power transformer 60 MVA at Simpang Tiga substation. The research begin on ferbuary 10th until May, 1st by using the survey, literature study and interviews with the employess at PT.PLN Simpang Tiga substation. The result of calculation show that ratio of CT1 used is 300/5 A and ratio of CT2 is 2000/5. For the current setting used is 1,3 A while the range of setting current used is 0.3. From the discussion, relay settings are installed and theoretical calculations are the same then it can be concluded that the relay can secure the transformer properly and in accordance with standard settings that have been se Key word: Disruption, Relay, Setting,
