power, it is caused by several factors such as, line resistance, line current, power
factor (Cos φ), and the central load location which is far from the substation.
Thus, in the distribution of electricity through distribution line will having a drop
voltage along the line which reduces the supply of electrical energy distributed to
the central load location and make the electrical energy distributed to the
consumers reduced or in other word the electrical energy distributed to the
consumers is different from the energy that has been sent.
Drop voltage in distribution network can not be eliminated completely,
because of the equipments which is used in distribution system may not have an
efficiency 100 % but one thing that we should keep in mind is whether the drop
voltage is still in the tolerance limit or not.
This final report discusses the drop voltage calculations in the feeder by
using ETAP software. This final report was being done through a case study at
Boom Baru Substation especially in Belimbing Feeder.
The results of calculation and simulation that had been done by ETAP
12.6 shows that the drop voltage which occurs is 0,84 on day peak burden and
0,63 on night peak burden. The drop voltage that occured in Belimbing Feeder is
still in the limit allowed by PLN on SPLN 72:1987, amounting to 5 %.
